Position Summary
We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Developer who can take ownership of end-to-end design and development across multiple customer-facing systems. While this is a full-stack role, we prefer someone with a stronger backend foundation, solid system thinking, and excellent database design skills. If you have industry experience (fintech, accounting, bookkeeping, SaaS) that’s a strong plus.
You will work directly with the CTO, guide developers, maintain execution quality, and help shape the engineering culture as the company grows.
Working Hours: US Pacific timezone overlap required (5-6 hours)
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Build and enhance backend and frontend components across different platform areas
Design clean and scalable database schemas with thoughtful data modeling
Develop APIs, integrations, and workflows with attention to structure and reliability
Work closely with design and product to deliver features end to end
Provide code reviews, technical guidance, and unblock team members
Participate in architectural discussions and long-term planning
Work with AI-powered features, including LLM API integrations, data extraction flows, and connecting backend logic with workflow tools like n8n
Use AI tools effectively to speed up development, debugging, documentation, and iteration
Maintain quality, consistency, and testing discipline across assigned modules
Required Skills & Competencies
5+ years of full-stack development experience
Strong backend fundamentals (Node.js preferred; flexible if strong in another backend language and can adopt quickly)
Strong understanding of relational database design, normalization, and optimization
Ability to think about performance, scalability, and efficient query design
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or ability to pick it up quickly
Experience with modern frontend development (React or similar)
Ability to design structured APIs and clean application layers
Experience integrating with AI/LLM services or willingness to adopt them quickly
Ability to leverage AI tools (coding assistants, debugging, documentation, schema design exploration) to achieve high-quality output faster
Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) for basic environment setup and service configuration
Clear communicator with strong ownership and proactive problem-solving
Nice to Have
Experience with low-code / no-code tools like Bubble.io (helpful but not required)
Familiarity with n8n, Retool, Zapier, or workflow automation
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred) for deployments and service configuration
Experience working in early-stage teams
Experience implementing multi-tenant SaaS patterns and ensuring secure data separation
Experience designing workflow-heavy or approval-based systems
